Baby Party: Lil Cowboy Buckaroo!

YEEHAH! It's a boy! A lil Cowboy Baby Shower gives the new baby a big yodel hey welcome! Every boy loves a good rodeo. Also known as a western themed baby shower or a rodeo baby shower, there are many wonderful elements to make a cowboy themed shower come to life!

Fantastic decoration is a must have in a successful theme based baby shower! The wall hangings, balloons, centerpiece and the like, will work together with the other components of the shower, so as to display your theme to the fullest!

You have lots of options when it comes to centerpiece. Shower the theme party table with greeneries. Scatter cactus confetti for a fun addition to your cowboy table decorations! To add some more final touches, add some wildflowers, sunflowers or daisies. If you have cactus plants that will fit your table, then bring them out! And you just happen to have some horse figurines, then those will also be great! Or you could also have a cake shaped like a horse or a cowboy hat.

If you want a fun centerpiece, consider taking a cowboy boot or hat, and then arranging a variety of beautiful fresh flowers in it to make a beautiful arrangement.

Movie posters and pictures of anything western should decorate your walls. If you have posters of your favorite country singers, pictures of horses, the desert, buffalos, and cowboys, then you will have no problem on what your wall hangings should be.

The baby display could show a rocking horse, or if you don't find that cute, then a baby riding a rocking horse and wearing a big cowboy hat might be what you are looking for.

Invite friends and family to saddle up, mosey on down, and have some fun at the cowboy party decorated with western personalized party supplies. Set your western party scene with burlap, saloon accents, cutout animals, and other cowboy accessories.

Guests always look forward to dessert. Don't disappoint with this adorable cowboy themed cake and beautiful hand crafted cupcakes that give a great touch to a cowboy baby shower!

Choose a dominant color for your shower room. Anything leather and western-looking items are great. You could also play country music to add to your cowboy atmosphere. Western menu could be as snappy as fried chicken and pizza, fit for a western rodeo. You could also opt for a line of BBQ buffet. This may nclude hot dogs, baked sweet potatoes, cucumber salad and corn on the cob. Consider serving up lemonade for the beverage and maybe some good old fashioned root beer or sarsaparillas. Please your western party buckaroos by placing small bowls filled with salsa and chips inside of upside down colored cowboy hats.

Honor each cowboy party partner with a classic red or blue western bandanna and a unique glass boot mug. Reward children at your cowboy party with packages of personalized favours of chocolate bars, milk bottles & gold digger coins. Wordings like "Lil Cowboys' Milk" will surely carve a smile on each and every cowboy party guest of yours.

If at all possible, pick up a few bales of hay to display sporadically around the party area or along the entryway. If you're having the shower outdoor, use bales of hay for the seats. We are being featured in the magazine again! This time it's The Malaysian Women's Weekly Magazine in their November issue for GUESS Kids Fall 2011 Showcase.

The photoshoot was organized by The Malaysian Women's Weekly team at the Armadale Bridal House and Razzle Dazzle Party Box was given the honour for setting up the decor!

It was a Garden Party set up. A Garden Party is synonymous with fun and enjoyment. It is a fabulous way to celebrate any occasion in style and make merry with the crowd. While a garden is already beautiful, a little bit of decoration can further accentuate the look. The natural lush green ambience provides a perfect set up to host a grand get-together.

The models were adorable. Some of the kids have been modeling since day1. They've got beautiful smiles, great personalities and sure love the camera. The little girls are just real divas. They are simply confident, with endearing and great personality styles. Personally I had fun working with the whole team. Certainly an experience to be treasured!

I have always loved the idea of a table of sweets in lovely big glass jars. Making it special, a casual backyard garden is spruced up with a candy buffet line, large glass jars, elegant tablecloth and of course, colourful candies for splashes of bright, vivid color. Flowers make an excellent choice for decorating the tabletop. They capture the whimsy of the garden surroundings.

The theme table was flushed with eye-catching garden party decorations, a fabulous way to celebrate in style. A beautifully and tastefully decorated Garden Party was set up by incorporating the right decor, table decorations, flowers and outdoor accessories, which complemented each other.

Paper lanterns are also a great way to create a big impression outdoors. Soft, muted tones paper lanterns, surrounded by trees and greenery, work best as garden party decorations. Rule of thumb is never to over do the theme coz it will steal away the charm of it. Simple is always more!

Theme Party: A Spook-tacular Halloween

Boo-Hoo!!

Here's an entry of a spook-tacular celebration we had on halloween!

TRICK OR TREAT! We had a SPOOK-tacular Halloween celebration by organizing a howling good theme party. It was a Halloween to remember. The kids felt welcome with creepy crafts, ghoulish poems and games as well as haunt cuisine. Planning a Halloween party was much easier than most, because we already know our theme.

We developed our party around a specific theme, such as spiders and favourite monsters. The theme itself gave us many ideas on what to do and what we needed to get in the way of supplies. Typically, Halloween is equated to a spooky and ghoulish atmosphere, but that doesn't have to be the case. Especially when it comes to children's halloween parties, we would want to keep the decorations fun and cute, rather than gruesome. Of course, adult party ideas usually lean toward "the more gruesome and frightening, the better". Still, there are many options available where you can easily take it from one extreme to another.

The decorations that we chose was mild and fun, more for the children. Where else with adults, you are more likely to decorate a sinister flare. Mild and fun decorations ensure the little goblins a freighteningly goodtime and the planning was so easy we weren't spooked!

We created a spooky ambience. Halloween's one of the best times to go all wacky on your decoration. We hung orange and black balloons in clusters at a corner with black ribbons attached. Spider webs were everywhere, up in the ceiling, chandeliers, corners, and there were big hairy spiders in some of the cobwebs. The tables were covered with creepy cloth and decorated with BOO!tiful decorations and felt halloween garlands. Black cutlery were rolled inside orange napkins and placed inside a bat napkin holder. Glow in the dark skeletons greeted the guests by the entrance. The lights were lowered to create eerie atmosphere. Halloween music set the mood.

This quaint old festival with its strange superstitions has become an occassion for social entertaining. In turn, Halloween food and recipes have become a much sought after item, and no Halloween party is a success without a properly planned menu.

Let the little ones help to prepare the food. Involve them with the cooking while they have fun learning. Much kids love to cook and want to help in the kitchen. They pretend to cook in the kitchen, make mud pies from the beach sand, and make bubble cakes in the bath tub! Kids do cooking activities all the time!

Here are reasons why you should do cooking activities with your kids.

1. Boost their self esteem. If your child needs a boost of self confidence, (and who doesn't!) cooking in the kitchen will do just that. They are accomplishing a task, learning something important and contributing to the family.

2. Create family time and bonding. Take time to cook with your kids and they will have memories that they, in turn, can pass on to their families. It may take a longer time to get the meal or snack done but the moments with your children will be priceless. (Just remember to have patience. Don't worry about flour on the floor or spilled milk).

3. Kids will be more apt to eat what they make. Perhaps, it is the enthusiasm of creating something themselves, but they will be more likely to eat whatever they had a hand in making.

4. They can help contribute to the family and they can feel the importance of helping. They are working together as a team, whether it is with a parent or with a sibling to get the job done.

5. Cooking teaches them planning, making choices, practice creativity and imagination. Kids cooking activities are a great way to express themselves and enjoy their creation.

Serving these creepy foods on the buffet line was a great way in creating a spooky setting for the Halloween party. Eyeball devilish eggs, chocolate mud cake topped with gummy worms, icy fingers floating in a green liquid are just the beginning of all the fun and creepy foods you can make. Kids fun Halloween recipes may include Graveyard Pudding, Mummy Dogs, Ghost Sandwich, Swamp Slime and all time favourite the Brainy Pudding.

Fabulous creepy creative Halloween craft ideas suitable for both kids and adults usually includes coloring pages, scrapbooking ideas, crossword puzzles, creepy fonts and graphics and much more. The children had just as much fun but they kept the chaos down to a minimum. Even the adults too contributed their best effort in solving puzzles and mazes.

The ghastly guests were kept occupied with halloween games such as the Eye Ball Relay, Mummy Wrap, Spider Web, Ghost Waiter and many more! Playing halloween games is a must with young children present. These games provided lots of laugh for both kids and adults, a perfect way to end a purrfect party!

Theme Birthday Party: Superhero

Calling all caped crusaders. It's time to celebrate superhero style! This superhero party is sure to be one event your little crime fighter will never forget!

A superhero party is sure to create super-duper fun! You can either create your party with a general super hero theme or focus on one character and build your party around that hero. Boys (and sometimes girls too!) love superheroes and whether it is Batman, Spiderman, Superman or Iron Man, a Superhero party theme is sure to be a blast!

A really super party starts with colorful decorations! Consider fun and simple ideas which include your favourite superheroes. If your party has a general super hero theme, then you may select your child's favorite superhero colors to use as a guide in decorating. If you are leaning toward a specific superhero, then you would want to select the colors most associated with that hero.

A party table set up has always been the best way to set the mood of a themed party. Figures of favourite superheroes with models of city towers would make the best centrepieces and make the party table look out of this world!

Superheroes posters are hung around the area. Cut out poster pictures make great superhero standees, which no doubt will excite the boys (and girls!). A life sized standee would create an extra fun at the entrance welcoming the superkids to the party.

A party table is never complete without the personalized items. The water bottles and chocolate bars, all wrapped with personalized superhero labels with fun names like Energy Bar and Super Booze just to give them a splash of the theme.

The personalized cupcake toppers were pictures of the all time favourite superheroes. Even simple cupcakes would be a great party hit with these toppers!

A personalized handmade superhero pennant banner would make a nice simple background for the party table as well as the cake cutting ceremony. The diamond shape would be the best design for the superhero party pennant banner.

The party table was then finalized with the ultimate superhero cake which combines all 3 most favourite superhero, Superman, Batman and Spiderman. Cutout star shaped fondant complemets the cake with the birthday boys' names. And the cupcakes were just simply hard for the kids to resist! They were all eyeing for their favourite superhero cupcake from the start!

Just by looking at the happy faces of the excited boys around me during the setup, has brought me great pleasure in helping them decorate the party table. Hope the superkids had as much fun as I did!

Theme Birthday Party: Moroccan Arabian Night

Remember the Enchanted Arabian Night we organized for a baby's 1st birthday celebration? This time we are featuring a similar one for a teen aged 10!

Let's rub the genie lamp, grab the magic carpet and take a ride into this mysterious and magical Moroccan Theme Party!

The overall color theme of this Arabian Night is created with rich and vibrant hues of purples, golds, turqoises, teals and reds. The look of a palace is created by draping fabric in these colors from the ceiling

and hanging them in doorways. Colourful sheer see-through fabric works best for an Arabian Night party. Persian rugs are scattered throughout the party area to replicate magic carpets. The theme table is covered using damask fabric in rich gold and deep purple tablecloths.

Genie bottles and lamps are placed throughout the party area to help add to the atmosphere. Oil lamps, incense, and hookahs bring in the authentic look. Touches of gold are used wherever on the tabletop, things such as genie lamp with the addition of golden jeweled goblet. Empty bottles or teapots decorated in gold paint can also double as 'magic lamps'. Gold crowns represents power & legitimacy of the royal empire.

A 2-tier novelty Arabian themed cake specially designed for the birthday princess with a genie lamp fondant figurine is a perfect centrepiece decor for the theme table. Opt for a different unique touch with mini cakes instead of the normal cupcakes. The mini cakes are shaped in forms of arabian cushions embellished with tassels and studs, topped with personalized toppers. Simply stunning!

It's a smart strategy to have a few organized games planned at a party. Just be sure to consider the ages of the children when you select the suitability of the games. Instead of having shaped cupcake toppers, this time we had Strawberry Shortcake herself to be the topper. Mini standees of Strawberry Shortcake really made the attractions and was a hit at the party. She was standing tall on a bed of grass garnished with tiny daisies. How cute is that?!

A candy buffet is then created by adding in candies like gumballs, jelly and chocolate bars. All placed in tall glass jars, glass bowls, ceramic trays & colourful pink and green baskets tagged with matching ribbons and personalized themed tags. The candy buffet is then accentuated with a personalized pennant banner of the birthday girl hung to the wall. Perfect is just the word to describe!

Young children love doing things on their own. Maybe even more so if their efforts involve handling sweets. Cupcake Decorating is a fun boys' and girls' party activity that combines the two. It is an easy and inexpensive way to get the kids excited, and keep them seated when it's time to have dessert. Before eating, they will love being little cake designers as they create their very own cupcake designs. Decorating ideas for the Edward and Bella Party may be taken right off the Twilight book covers. Twilight, this book has hands holding an apple against a black background. The second novel in the Saga, New Moon, has a Parrot Tulip in red and white. The third novel in the Saga, Eclipse, has a piece of red satin ribbon against a black background. The final Novel in the Saga, Breaking Dawn, has a white Chess Queen and a red Pawn against a black background. So it looks like the color scheme should be red, black and white. What an intense backdrop this color scheme will create for your party.

There are a few main elements in setting up this particular theme party. Red, black and white are the "team" colors for Twilight. The Twilight ambience is created with twinkle light and candles. Lighting is always a key in creating the atmosphere. Plenty of candles, both tealights and block candles are used. Famous quotes from the book and movie are framed, totally as eyecatchers! A classy touch is added by scattering some dark red acrylic sea glass along the theme table.

The theme table centrepiece is of course the red velvet cake inspired by all four book covers. The cupcakes with vampire bites and flashing red gel driping down by the side like blood really make a statement about Bella and Edwards love. Every each comes with a 2" circular party embellishments of personalized themed cupcake toppers. They stand in three different designs, Edward, Jacob and Bella. It's exciting to see which design is taken out first!

Chocolate wrappers and blood themed water bottle labels are also personalized with the elements of all four book covers. Any red drinks like strawberry or any other red concoctions the store shelves have to offer can pass for Type A and Type B.

Crepe and shimmery paper creates great underwater effect. Each little mermaid guest would feel like entering an underwater palace.

Balloon sculptures accentuates the underwater effect. Squiggle green and purple balloons would make the best seaweed. Columns of blue and green metallic balloons give a colourful effect to the background. Transparent pearl balloons are hanged in clusters from the ceiling like bubbles. Standee dolphin foils make the party comes alive.

A blue iced cake with a mermaid in the center will absolutely be a hit!

There are plenty of mermaid party ideas to keep the little mermaids (and mermen) amused. A carnival circus is a big affair, but that does not mean you need a huge party hall. With simple tricks, you can make even a small space big, carnivaly and circusy!

Throw your carnival circus party "under the big top" at home or in a park. Rent a canopy, preferably with red and white stripes, to create the structure for your carnival party which will definitely give a perfect carnival circus look. An Enchanting Arabian Night was a very grand theme that we have carried out. Flash back to era of caravans, the majestic castles of sultans and extravagant parties. Organized at night, gave us the chance to play around with lanterns and glitters of decors from such tale of 1001 nights.

The theme colours were set to be in rich silky metallic purple & shimmery gold. The Arabian mood was brought alive with oil lamps, insence and candles throughout the scene. The transparent arabian tent with drapes of sky lights welcomes the sultans, harem princesses, belly dancers & oil sheikhs to the unforgetable night.

A sitting area was allocated by the gazebo with lots of classic throw cushions. Exotic Aladdin lamps, shishas and hanging glamourous chimes created the illusion of the Arabian Night. Bright colourful sportlights flashed up the palm trees of the garden and thus brought in the mood of the night.

Super shaped helium balloons brought cheerful effects to the atmosphere. A corner of the room was transformed into a play area for the children to enjoy themselves while parents get to catch up on each other. Delightful delicacies of sugar cakes boost the sweetness of the memorable moment.

A scrumptious arabian feast with grilled kebabs, ala-forno beef , brinjal musaka, lamb and vineleaf roll, meat platters served with pita breads & humus, fresh riped grapes and all sorts of other guiltless sinful desserts that lined up on the buffet bar created rumbling drools in each and every guests' hungry tummies.

Face painting and henna drawing have added more colours to the party. Games such as the musical chair have certainly added up to the fun. Participating without an age limit strengthens the bond amongst family and friends. Cheerful smiles were brought to their faces with small tokens and prizes. The excitement was then added up with a Pinata. To match with the theme and also the crowd of toddlers, a pull-string treasure chest paper box were fully stuffed with candies and toys in order to give the guests their treat of the day.

The party favors were home made with love. Silky colourful materials were sewn to be arabian pouches accessorized with matching golden and silver tassles. The embroideries of the princess' name and birthday captions made them even more outstanding. The pouches were then filled with edible gold coins as a symbolic of wealth and prosperity of the exotic arabian royals.

The invitation should basically contain all the details on how to RSVP, whom to call, all the dates and other informations. Be creative and not just stick to the old method of conventional invitations. An invitation printed on a cd or sent in a box which includes other decorative items from the theme, might add colors to the tone. For instance, use scallop shells, pearls and some glitter for an invitation to a beach party. This level of anticipation factor will let people start to get excited, which is what you'll want. Bob and his machine team celebrated Daniel's 2nd Birthday with lots of fun! With a cool theme, the cuppies were topped with sugar traced of Bob, Scoop, Muck & Lofty! The birthday boy was already overjoyed just to see his favourite cartoon characters! Each children were given a stripey baby blue coloured box filled with party favors. All customized courtesy from the birthday boy.

It was time to indulge in western cuisine. Warm layers of pasta made the lasagne a non resistant. Tender juicy chicken strips accompanied by scrumptious fresh salad provides a healthy diet to the guests. Strings of spaghetti poured with bolognese gravy has always been the all time favourite. The food was remarkably super delicious. Everyone had their chance to indulge! Birthday cake was a 2-tier orange marble laced with fine fondant sugar. It was absolutely delicious and creatively done.

Each children was then treated with giant colourful lollipops for desert. All kinds of shapes, up to their taste buds.

Cukur Jambul- based on a lose translation from Wikipedia- A Malay Traditional rites 40 dates after the birth of a newborn. It is not done any earlier, because mummy would still be in confinement.

It was a beautiful fine day. The house was decorated with beds of greeneries and fresh flowers. The room was all filled with aromatized scent of sweet pastels fresh roses waiting to welcome the guests. A stunning dias for the celebratee princess stands enchantedly in the living hall with spotlights flashing across it. It was all mesmerizing!

The settings were set to be pink & white as the Cukur Jambul were meant for the baby princess. Fresh flowers resembles the freshness of a new born baby, the greatest gift of all. An overwhelming experience to be treasured!

Fresh fruits were served with bottomless flowing of think chocolate fountain that no one could resist. Sweet baby themed cupcakes empowers the temptations.

The tent stood up high with colourful balloon bouquets as the centrepieces happily greeted the guests of honours.

The theme was set to be Fun with Sesame Street. All were prepared according to the theme, from the invitations right to the party favors. It was a party full of colours, fun and excitement!

The invitation was designed accordingly matched to the theme where the birthday boy was pictured to be part of the Sesame Street group of friends. Super sized birthday balloon was customized with captions of the birthday boy's name. Absolute fun!
